One Month

Our sweet angel baby went home today. He’s so much more exhausting than I ever imagined, but SO cute! I was holding him during a first – he worked his hand up to his face and started sucking his tiny little thumb. He drinks every 2-3 hours, and sleeps in-between. But when he wakes up, the cutie pie screams his lungs out. I saw with him last night, and it was too adorable for words – he kept smiling and passing gas. I never knew gas could be so cute. Aden has the most precious, milky-sweet smell, and he’s so cute when he stretches. Yesterday was his one month birthday 😊

Aden in Atlanta!

Change of plans! Rabia called yesterday to ask if we could come pick up her and Aden, so we did today, and he’s at our house for the first time. I held him while mama was preparing his bottle, and he was crying like it was going out of style. I felt so helpless. But generally, he’s a sweet, non-fussy baby. We love him so much.

Prepping

I haven’t seen our sweet baby for over a week, and won’t be able to until next weekend ☹ I wanted to go this weekend, but mama had too many things to get done to prep the house for when they’re able to come visit. In the last two days, she bought new king-size mattresses, new refrigerator, and a new washer dryer set.

This weekend was my fourth trip to see my darling baby nephew 😊 Mama and I went last Thursday, and he was darling, although I can imagine why Rabia would be exhausted. At the beginning, I was holding him and he just stared at me for 2-3 minutes, as though storing me in his memory banks. And he kept stretching and opening his mouth, and it was so cute that my knees kept weakening! Shoaib freaked out when he went to visit too, and when we first sat down and put Aden in his arms, he broke out in a sweat and I had to wipe his brow. Then he looked down very seriously and said “He’s the most precious thing I’ve ever seen.” Shoaib kept repeating in the car how he was going to teach him “everything” (as in sports.) I can’t wait to see him on Friday! That baby will never know how much light he brought into our hearts ❤

Presenting Aden . . .

Rabia sent another o-foto album yesterday, of the baby 😊 Now, officially Aden. It’s so awesome to be able to order pictures off the website. He’s so, so beautiful, and there’s one photo of him all swaddled up that’s to die for. In my photo of holding him for the first time, mama and Rabia say I look the happiest they’ve seen me in a long time 🥰
