November/December 2005

Nov. 6th: Rabia says Aden comes to her to taste her chai, and if he likes it he gets his mug to have some put in. She adds some milk to cool it, then he takes it, sits on his sofa, and watches Sesame Street!

22nd: Mama’s been in Columbus since Sunday, since Rabia needed help. She and Aden seem to be having a great time together. Mama said he keeps giving her kisses and hugs, and kissed her on the forehead when she was changing his diaper! He also told her to come over and put a CD-ROM in his computer, and showed her where. When the program wasn’t working, he got a brush and used it to jiggle the wires in the back of the computer, and then picked up the mouse, held it to his ear, and kept clicking it! Mama said he is also teaching her how to use the mouse 😊 When his babysitter came today, he wouldn’t let go of mama’s hand, even when the sitter tempted him with a trip outside. He’s so attached to her! 💗 He had visited here and I took him for a ride in his stroller, up to the elementary school – pushing that thing uphill is GOOD exercise. I love spending time with the angel.

25th: I went to Columbus yesterday to get mama, came back today. Poor Aden followed our progress out of the driveway ☹ He is so attached to mama – kept running up to her, flinging his arms up, and giving the cutest, biggest, happiest smiles! He’s the bossiest baby – he refused to let me wear Rabia’s Uggs outside, so I had to wear sandals in 40 degree weather. He also tried to get Rabia to change her skirt, and kept pulling at her jeans that were folded nearby. He’s so sweet and cute and keeps catching our eye to give us sweet, beautiful smiles ❤

Dec. 28th: Aden and Rabia are here for the last week of December 😊 It’s so nice to have him here to make the days brighter! He went nuts when we opened gifts on Monday. They were all hidden in mama’s closet, and when we started bringing them down, Aden got so excited and kept running up the stairs to help. He’d make me help him race up the stairs, take one gift, carefully walk back down – maneuvering the gift left to right all the way down the stairs so he could see the steps below him – then slam the gift into the pile once he reached the bottom! He kept tearing the ribbons off all the gifts. He was very polite about taking the gifts to whoever it belonged to, even tried to push the leg massager over to mama, but couldn’t get it to budge! He’s recovering from the flu ☹ but has been the sweetest smiling angel imaginable.
